Yes. If medication is part of your treatment plan, your psychiatrist will discuss options and communicate recommendations with your primary care provider.

We do not offer rTMS or KAP at Cadent Health. However, our clinicians have experience and knowledge in these areas and may provide guidance or recommendations if they are appropriate as part of your overall care plan.

Yes. A referral from a family physician or nurse practitioner is required. Your doctor can fax it directly to us, or you can upload it during our online intake.

We take privacy extremely seriously. Cadent Health follows all provincial privacy laws and standards, including Alberta’s Health Information Act (HIA).

We have completed the required Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) for our clinic, ensuring that:

• your personal health information is stored securely,
• only authorized staff can access your file,
• digital systems meet HIA privacy and security requirements,
• all workflows follow provincial legislation and best practices.

Your intake responses, referral documents, and clinical notes are handled with the same level of protection as in any licensed medical clinic.

Cadent Health is not an emergency or crisis service. If you are in crisis, please contact local emergency services, call the crisis line, or go to your nearest emergency department.

Once we receive your referral (faxed or uploaded), you will complete our secure online intake questionnaire. After that, you will meet with an intake clinician who reviews your information and helps determine next steps. If appropriate, you will then be matched with a psychiatrist.

Appointment timing depends on clinician availability. Our intake process ensures your information is reviewed promptly so we can offer the earliest appropriate appointment.

Your intake is completed online, and the first review is typically virtual. In-person visits may occur when clinically appropriate and depending on the psychiatrist’s practice pattern.

Yes. The intake platform uses encrypted, secure systems that meet or exceed provincial privacy requirements. All information is processed and stored in compliance with the HIA and the clinic’s approved PIA.

Our psychiatrists provide assessment and treatment for mood disorders, anxiety disorders, ADHD, trauma-related conditions, late-life mental health, neurocognitive disorders, and complex diagnostic questions.

Yes, if you consent. After your assessment, we send a clear summary of recommendations to your referring provider to support coordinated care.

Cadent Health focuses primarily on psychiatric assessment, medication management, and treatment planning. We may recommend psychotherapy and can assist with referrals to appropriate therapists or programs.
